- Project Name: Extension and Refurbishment at Portobello Dublin
- Date Completed: January 2017
- Architects: James Ahearn Architects
The house is a mid-terrace Victorian House in Dublin. The project consisted of demolition of an existing single storey extension to the rear of the house and the construction of a new contemporary, light filled extension along with completely re-configuring the original house. A new bedroom was formed within the existing attic space by making use of the very high internal ceiling height at ground floor. Remedial works were carried out throughout. The accommodation now consists of 2 double bedrooms and large family bathroom at the first floor level. There is an open plan kitchen/living/dining room overlooking the private rear garden along with WC and utility room at lower ground floor. The house also has a formal reception room to the front of the house at the upper ground floor.
